Please No Snow

Math Boy and I are driving down this weekend to meet with some funeral arrangers and visit mum. She seems to be losing her memory quickly these days. She is forgetting who my dad is, and forgot my brother’s name. I’m afraid that when I get there she won’t remember my name. Right now she calls me by her sister’s nick-name, but will correct herself later in a conversation. I guess we will just have to wait and see. I know that this just sounds really bad, but I hope that she goes soon. I don’t want to see her living this way for another 6 months. She doesn’t deserve it, and I know my dad won’t be able to take it.

So the kids are staying with the ILs for the weekend, and then Math Boy flies out to Chicago on Monday and will return Tuesday. As he is now teaching on Wednesday’s, the kids won’t get to spend any time with him for almost a full week. This also means that I will probably have bed time duty for three days in a row…blah. With an OCD child, bed time is her major routine, and with not really seeing Math Boy for a few days – Monday will be tough. Oh well – we do what we have to do.

I have been running a bit. I’m up to around 20mins straight on the treadmill. I find that it is a good way to release some stress, and it is making me feel better about myself, which in turn is allowing me to refocus my energy from “weight loss” to bigger and better things, like ME!!!
